Sardinia is ready to welcome two of the most important music artist of last decades, Sting & Shaggy. Described as the most unexpecting duo of 2018, on July 26th at the Forte Arena in Pula they present their last album produced together, 44/876 pulled by the hit “Don’t make me wait”, also presented during the last Festival of Sanremo. An album full of energy, whose singles jump from pop to reggae in a funny way, without claim, freeing Sting from the polished style who sometimes we has used to. A very surprising partnership, as the well-known music magazine “Rolling Stone” has defined their album that combines the elegance of Sting with the “swagger” and the Jamaican musical style of Shaggy. The artists alternate duets with individual performances in which they retrace their over ten-year carriers and going through from the romantic melodies of “Englishman in New York” and “Every breath you take” from the ex-singer of Police to the Jamaican rhythms, typical for example, in Shaggy’s songs like “Mr. Boombastic” and “Angel”.
A meeting between two different souls of the world music that will entertain, excite and dance every fans present as happened throughout Europe. The eight Italian stages close a triumphant tour that has seen them play around the continent, from Spain to Greece and always sold-out. The concert at Forte Arena open their tour on Italy and, in the following days, will continue in Rome, Verona, Naples up to Cattolica. The duet will be accompanied on tour by the band of Sting composed by Dominic Miller (guitar), Josh Freese (drums), Rufus Miller (guitar) and by Shaggy’s musicians, Monique Musique and Gene Noble (chorister), Kevon Webster (piano).
