From July 13th to 29th the beautiful Roman theatre of Nora will host the XXXVI edition of “La Notte dei Poeti” (Nora Poetry Festival). Even this year poets, actors and musicians will enrich the evenings with words, gestures, and notes as in the past. The theatre lives again in a natural, historical and unique scenary. Sea, breeze, voices and sounds be mixed with poetry, songs and dance performed by well-known names of national and international art scene.
The themes are various and different for every night. We’ll go from Greek myths to Shakespeare up to 19th-century writing, in a setting that re-emerge from the past, with columns and temples, houses, thermal baths and a theatre suspended between sky and sea. A journey that follows the ancient routes, intersect threads and stories, between myth and contemporaneity, to be the voice of every population in Mediterranean: winners and losers, refugees and migrates, between exile’s songs and madness of love.
Special guests of this edition are: Piergiorgio Odifreddi, Irene Ivaldi, Pamela Villoresi, Danilo Rea, Emanuela Bianchini, I solisti della compagnia, Alessandro Preziosi, Elena Ledda, Vitaliano Trevisan, Daria Deflorian, Monica Demeru, Monica Piseddu, Sharon Caboni, Rossella Dassu, Lara Farci, Marco Secchi, Marco Ponti, Francesco Mandelli, Anita Caprioli, Didie Caria and Daniele Pecci.
Among the many guest star present, a special mention goes to Elena Ledda and its last album “Lantias”. Sardinia is like a world apart, a micro continent in everything, nature, cooking, history, art and sound and Elena reflects all that. Voices of Sardinia, we know, have a different mix, an embracing sound, warm, which vibrate and makes vibrate, and her has this type of voice. It’s not a coincidence that we identify her as a “The voice of Sardinia”. But her voice it would not be so without Sardinian language, because wouldn’t have the same impact and the same meaning. During the “Notte dei poeti” she present her last album: “Lantias”. And … why in a poetry festival you will wondering you? Easy! Because this album tell stories, poetries, emotions, with rhythm and colour in step with this famous Festival.
