The beauty of Swan Lake in Pula

The magic of ballet is ready to fascinate the audience of Forte Arena with the “Swan Lake”. August 4th, for the first time in Santa Margherita of Pula, The Saint Petersburg Ballet go on stage one of the most famous and representative ballet in the world. The show expands the offer available to the audience with a reproduction that, still today, preserves all its charm thanks to the atmosphere that accompany the appearance of Odette for the dual role of Odette-Odile, white swan and black swan and the eternal struggle between Good and Evil.
Forte Arena is ready to tell you the romantic story between Siegfried and Odette that start one night when the Prince, chasing a group of swans – meet the Princess, who explains that she and her companions were turned into swans by the evil Baron Von Rothbart. The spell can only be broken if someone who has never loved before swears an oath of undying love and promises to marry her. The Prince declares his love to Odette and promises to be loyal forever. At a grand reception at the palace, the Prince must choose a bride – but he can think only of Odette. Suddenly a fanfare announces the arrival of two guests – it is Odette! The prince dances with her and asks for her hand in marriage. But it’s not Odette – the mystery woman is the daughter of the evil von Rothbart, Odile. Odette has witnessed the whole scene. Too late, Siegfried realises his mistake and follows Odette to the lake and begs her forgiveness. Confusion, forgiveness and a happy ending for Siegfried and Odette accomplish the ballet.
The Saint Petersburg Ballet for this version of “Swan Lake” has kept the original choreographies of Marius Petipa and the fabulous and enchanted musics of P.I. TCajkovskij. Do not miss this ballet that represent the perfect cohesion between choreography and music, who has inspired generations of ballets dancer and symbol of the popular culture.
